CSU Chico - Agricultural Learning & Training Center

Designed with a robust technological infrastructure and a creative mix of program spaces, the facility will offer 21st century learning and conference capabilities in flexible arrangements to suit a wide spectrum of accommodations. The new structure features a large conference space that can be divided into smaller classrooms via automatically controlled operable partitions and is adjacent to a large storage area that will allow easy set up and take-down of furniture layouts. A commercial grade kitchen offers both catering and on-site food preparation to serve large groups. The center is 9,500 square feet of programmed utility space, with the addition of 5,700 square feet of covered outdoor area designed to enhance the indoor/outdoor relationship. Sustainability stewardship includes renewable energy generation from rooftop PV panels, high performance mechanical and lighting systems, building envelopment upgrades, low VOC materials/enhanced indoor air quality, recycled materials, water efficiency throughout each component of the project.
