LEARNING
NAPA VALLEY | NEW TECHNOLOGY HIGH SCHOOL
The flagship school of the New Technology Network is the internationally recognized center of school reform. The design for the whole-scale transformation of an existing elementary school into a contemporary high school was based on the systematic integration of team taught instruction, project-based learning and one-to-one technology (before technology was in the hands of each student). This transformation and expansion is a direct result of the integration of students in the design process and listening to the types of spaces & experiences they felt were necessary to support their learning process(s). With an educational curriculum that launched in 1997, and a facility transformation that was completed in 2009, this project is still a leader in innovative learning environments.
